Certified Forensic Psychometrist
The CFP credential is designed to certify licensed mental health professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, counselors, clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists) who have attained expert status in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests commonly used in forensic mental health evaluation as evidenced by their training and supervised experience.
The term psychometrics refers to psychological testing1, or the psychological theory or technique of mental measurement. A psychometrist, also referred to as a psychometrician, is a "professional who is skilled in the administration and interpretation of objective psychological tests2."
Requirements:
The CFP credential automatically renews each year upon successful renewal of the certificate holder's CFMHE credential. There is no additional annual renewal fee for the CFP credential.
